Canucks Cake: @LoveYourCake meets Daniel Sedin; delivers more Canuck cakes!

Today we had the privilege of delivering 2 cakes for a dual baby shower.  This baby shower happened to be for the wives of 2 Vancouver Canuck players!

I swear if I pinched myself any harder, I'd be covered in bruises...

I wasn't sure if the news was out about the babies yet, so I have removed the names in order to protect their privacy.  However, if you look really closely at the photos - I'm sure any die-hard Canuck fan can figure it out!

We brought the cake over to none other then NHL player Daniel Sedin's house, and met him and his lovely wife Marinette.  Since he's recovering, we didn't bug him for any pictures or autographs, but the experience was still pretty amazing. He was watching the Masters (along with every other guy on the planet this weekend) and the house looked all ready for a lovely dual baby shower!

We are proud and honoured to be able to provide yummy and creative cakes for the Canucks and their families.  It makes you realize that they are just regular, cake-loving people once they step off the ice!

Here are the photo's from the latest delivery:

Hadn't seen anything like this online, and we are quite happy with the results!

~Perfect for that pregnant Canuck fan in your life~

Here is the second cake for the shower, with matching themes from the first one.

Both cakes were vanilla with orange zest, and pink vanilla frosting inside.

The characters on this cake are meant to resemble spectators at a hockey game.
GO BABY GO!!

I would like to thank everyone on Twitter and Facebook for their growing support of our little business venture.  It makes the long hours feel validated, and makes me feel like my dream of owning my own bakery one day are not that far off.

Next on our agenda is a "Cake Tasting Party" to test out some new flavour combinations - time to get back into the kitchen, put on that apron and get to work!!

Happy Easter Weekend - and thank you again!!

xo!
