Why Kid Carson is better then Breakfast

When I get up in the morning and basically hate everything about not being in bed anymore, I know that when I get in my car and turn it on - I will hear a cheerful voice on the radio who has already had many coffees and possibly 17 red bulls? (pure speculation).

Monday to Friday, I tune into the Beat 94.5 to join in the hilarious and occasionally awkward conversations of The Kid Carson Show.  In the 4 years since moving to BC, I have listened as the show went through some changes, some people have come and gone.  Regardless of that, there is one staple you can always rely on to make you smile in the morning when you want to murder everyone around you, and play bumper cars with everybody on the Patello Bridge (JUST DRIVE PEOPLE).

Kid Carson and I share one mutual friend on facebook,  obviously this means that we're kindred souls. By the laws of six degrees of separation - it was meant to be.  Not like, in the dating sense, because he has a gorgeous girlfriend and I have a bf - and I don't like, know all that information because I'm a stalker....  I'm just what you would call an "avid listener" (aka stalker).

Many ladies like him because he is easy on the eyes, and some love him because he goes off on random tangents that sound like they should make no sense, but then he actually has a point.  Once, he RT'd a blog I wrote about why I wanted to punch him in the face - which had nothing to do with being angry at something mentioned on the show.  The reason was completely about how incredibly happy he sounded as I sat in bridge traffic, ripping each hair out one by one.
But how can you be mad at happy?
That's just it.  You can't.

So thank you, Kid, for being so fucking happy in the morning that it forces me to smile before the start of every work day. Keep it up and don't ever know all the answers.  It's way better that way.

i have this vague recollection of us talking about him when we were at the beach the other day. or maybe it was when we went to darby's after and had beer. beer is probably why i can't remember this fact correctly. either way, i completely agree: he makes every morning tolerable. also, if he reads this again, he needs to follow me back on twitter: @kixy_stabbs. that is all.

no really, did we actually mention him the other night or was i that drunk/out to lunch?
