Tweeties & Perogies

In the midst of my worst week ever in life, I decided to have a moment of clarity and let all the bullshit go to have some people over for some delicious perogies.  

That was the plan (sorry Gramma) but were they delicious? Hmmm! They were.... edible.

The best part of the whole thing wasn't the perogies, but the fact that I had the chance to meet some new people and play hostess (ha ha ha) to old friends and new alike.  And by alike, I mean that once you enter my place, I will hand you the first drink - but after that - you're on your own.  ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY. I decided to make perogies for this special occasion, and went all out on the fillings.  Jalapeno cheddar, bacon cheddar, saurkraut, banana chocolate chip (WOW when deep fried), and roasted red pepper cheddar.  We all hung out around the kitchen, had some drinks, plugged our nose and scarfed down those slippery little goo balls.  Here's some pictures!!

Make a ball of bacon cheddar, and plop it on a perogie. GIANT perogie.

Among the tweeters, bf and another friend of ours were also there to "enjoy" the feast.  The best part of the night was the deep fried Tim Tams and Mars Bars, courtesy of Lindsay (read her blog about it here).  After we ate the food, we sat and watched Epic Meal Time, which was basically pure torture to watch after what I served these guys.  Next time, everything bacon. EVERYTHING. Or maybe we should just meet up at a place where they pay people to cook.
